Meet Richard

Richard is a Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEX).

Richard specialises in debt recovery, professional negligence, claim handling and subrogation, and commercial matters.

​​

Richard's early professional career began when he qualified as a Chartered Credit Manager with the Chartered Institute of Credit Management. Putting his skills and knowledge into practice, Richard managed a highly successful debt recovery and litigation team for many years.

​

Richard added to his qualifications with the Institute of Risk Management - Enterprise Risk Management, following which he acted as Risk Manager for one of the UK's largest regulated financial services networks.

In 2013, Richard took on responsibility for the day to day management (UK) for a captive insurance company based in Guernsey, joining the board in 2017. Through this enterprise, Richard has developed significant experience in subrogation claims and claim handling, working with some of the UK's largest insurers and insurance brokers.

Over the last 15 years, Richard has managed an in house legal team, responsible for all matters legal, ranging from claim handling, debt recovery, litigation, commercial/contract, M&A, company secretarial, as well as holding several board positions as director and company secretary for regulated financial services businesses.

Richard thrives on obtaining successful outcomes for his clients.

Away from work, Richard is happily married and has two teenage children. He is a long suffering supporter of Leeds United, having held a season ticket for 30+ years, and still thinks he could have been a contender when playing five a side football.
