Our Pricing
We believe legal pricing should be clear, fair and straightforward.
That means being open about our rates, discussing budgets early, and helping you choose the pricing structure that best fits your matter. No hidden drama. No mystery billing. Just sensible, transparent conversations about cost.
Because we operate as a fully remote firm, we keep overheads low and pass those savings on to our clients. That allows us to offer high-quality legal support at fair and competitive rates, without compromising on experience or service.
One of our overriding values is ensuring our clients receive exceptional value. Being born and bred in Yorkshire, we naturally know the true value of things.
How we charge
Depending on the type of matter, we can work on either an hourly rate or fixed fee basis.
Hourly rates
For some matters, the most appropriate pricing model is to charge for the time spent on your case.
Our standard hourly rates are:
Role Rates
Lawyer - £250 + VAT per hour
Paralegal - £135 + VAT per hour
If we work on an hourly basis, we will always discuss the likely scope of work and expected costs with you at the outset, so you have a clear understanding of what to expect.
Fixed fees
Where the scope of work can be clearly defined at the start, we are happy to agree a fixed fee.
Fixed fees give you certainty about your legal spend from the outset, and we know many clients value exactly that.
If a fixed fee is important to you, we will always be happy to discuss whether your matter is suitable.

Keeping costs clear
We know one of the biggest concerns clients have about legal services is uncertainty around cost. Fair enough.
That is why we aim to:
-
agree budgets wherever possible
-
explain likely costs before work begins
-
keep you updated if the scope of work changes
-
discuss fixed fees where appropriate
-
work efficiently and proportionately
Disbursements
Sometimes, additional third-party costs arise as part of a matter. These are known as disbursements and may include things like court fees, search fees, barristers' fees or expert fees.
Any disbursements are payable in addition to our legal fees.
If a disbursement is likely to be needed, we will let you know in advance. In some cases, we may ask for payment on account before that cost is incurred
Debt recovery and contested litigation
Our fees for simple debt recovery matters are set out separately on our Debt Recovery Page.
If a matter becomes contested or proceeds to court, we will explain the likely stages of the process, the expected costs, any formal costs budgeting requirements, and whether any of those costs may be recoverable from the other side.
Every case is different, but our approach is always the same: to manage matters carefully, keep costs proportionate, and help you make informed decisions at each stage.
